Verizon New Jersey has an Environmental Management Organization (EMO) that is accountable for providing Verizon with a efficient and effective environment management program and satisfying all regulatory requirements.

Accomplishments in New Jersey that contribute to the success of the regulatory and voluntary aspects of the Environment Management Program are many and varied.

Here are some highlights:

• Verizon has been recognized by a variety of public & private organizations for its efforts in the recycling area.
• Verizon maintains an active membership in the Association of New Jersey Recyclers.
• Verizon serves as Director of Environmental Issues for the National Association of Purchasing Manager-New Jersey
• Verizon is a founding member and co-chairs the New Jersey Buy Recycled Business Network with a representative from the State Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
